Birthday Dress

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I'll be going out. I decided to splurge on a dress by my favourite designer MASON by Michelle Mason. It wasn't the exact dress I wanted but I like it. It's in the mail and I'm really nervous if it will fit right!

I'll show you my dress but also some other amazing ones by her.

This is my dress! It was $341 from revolveclothing.com but I'm not sure if I'll have to pay duties and taxes on top etc. I also upgraded to the $8 express shipping with tracking, to Canada that's not bad at all!

This is the dress I wanted but it was from fall 2012 and has disappeared :(

I love the neckline and the white front with black back.

And here are just some other amazing dresses and some celebs wearing them.

ahhhh.. Amazing <3

January Deals

I'm feeling really great about my January purchases. Despite the fact that I had to spend money to save, I'd say I did really well with all these things. LOL

YSL Tribtoos $795 $238

Victoria Secret perfume set- Fresh & Clean $30  $15
I also picked up some panties for $2.99 and $1.99, a bra for $19.99 and a bathing suit bottom for $9.99

Topshop wedge sneakers $96 $30

H&M wine coloured cropped Jacket $59.95 $15

Target-Neiman Marcus Collection
these items were already discounted designer items for target but I also bought them on clearance!

Rag and Bone sweater $69.99 $20.99

Marc Jacobs scarf $69.99 $20.99

Philip Crangi picture frame $49.99 $14.99

Diane Von Furstenberg jewelry box $49.99 $14.99

Yesterday I was in Sephora and they were having a Bite Beauty event. It's a new brand that makes lip products. Here's what Sephora has to say about them:

So their event was you buy any Bite Beauty product and they make a custom lipstick for you for free. So I got two lipsticks for $28 essentially- and both nudes of course!

The custom one is on the left and the regular line one is "Salut" on the right.

I haven't tested them out so I can't give an opinion yet but I love the packaging and it was super cool to watch them make a custom lipstick right in front of your eyes.

I also bought some leggings at Aritizia for $55- pretty much the opposite of a good deal but they fit amazingly. They also had some Rag and Bones on sale for $99 that I may regret passing up!

Also my birthday is approaching very quickly. I'll be turning 20 and still trying to digest that fact.

But I hope you are all doing well,
xoxo V

Quick YSL Haul

I had told myself that I wouldn't be making any big purchases for awhile because I wanted to save up money to travel around Europe... and buy a Celine phantom while I was there hehe

However I was shopping in Yorkville and checked out this boutique called 119 Corbo and saw these shoes. There were two pairs left, both in my size, and one girl was already trying on the other pair. I said to the SA wow those are so cute, and she's like they're 70 off. When I saw that they were marked fown from $795 to $238 I immediately grabbed them. Turns out YSL is opening a boutique in Toronto so this store will no longer be carrying YSL and that's why they were on sale.

They're different from anything I'd normally buy because I'm usually strictly all black, but hey, I'd say they go perfectly with an all-black outfit so it works out :)

I'm also not the greatest in walking in heels this high.... but for these, I'll learn. LOL :)

I'm still looking for some basic black heels too, hopefully something lower. I'm thinking of these, they look comfy and like something I'd be able to survive in haha.

P.S. Not sure how other people feel about this whole "Saint Laurent Paris" thing but why change a classic name?! I'll forever call the brand Yves Saint Laurent. Sorry.

See ya soon,
xoxo V

My holidays

Decorated my tree a little late on the 23rd lol

The eaton center before Christmas.

We got my mom her first Tory Burch item for Christmas- she loves their stuff.

This year I was obsessed with the Bath and Body Works winter candles...

And the peppermint mocha from Starbucks.

The Christmas trees at my Grandma's and mom's.

And then this is how we spent Christmas eve...

Drinking and playing scrabble... lol

I won :)

My mom made pancakes for breakfast on the 25th :)

I wore this hat almost all day on the 25th lol

My boyfriend fully wrapped a body cream in a ripped up shopping bag....

On boxing day, the only other things I bought besides the MAC things were holiday items from LUSH that were buy one get one free.

I also saw this and thought it was too awesome not to post!

These nails sums it all up pretty much!

and then came New Years...

I finally broke out my red Herve Leger dress!

and used this makeup travel thing I bought awhile ago to bring my makeup to the hotel. It was super helpful and I really recommend one.

and then the rest of my holidays were pretty much spent shopping, cuddling my puppy,

and eating lots and lots of chinese food....

I finish with a saying I snapped a pic of on the way home from the town we celebrated NYE in

until next time,
xoxo V
