Bag Haul!

I've been neglecting my blog and even with my last few posts failed to mention the bags I've acquired this year. I have 4 new bags that have been purchased in the past 6 months. I also sold a couple including 2 alexander wang bags and my LV speedy 30.

July was my Celine month!
I got my Phantom! I annoyed people way too much talking about that bag oh geez. Anyways, Celine is so difficult to find in Canada so we ended up going to the US to Neiman Marcus for it. It happened to be the hottest day of the summer, the weather was +40 celsius which I believe is something around 105 Fahrenheit, and the air conditioning in the car just happened to break down the day before our 8 hour journey there and back to the States. I can now officially say I have used bags of ice from gas stations along the road covering myself as a substitute for air conditioning. What a mission... Man I am lucky that my man not only suffered the trip with me, but he also gifted this to me.

Here she is!
I love the all black- black leather, black hardware.

And a modelling shot.

Then Holts got a shipment of Celine. The bags weren't even put on display but some customers got emails. I was content with my Phantom but I spotted this beautiful light blue/grey nano in the email. It was smooth leather but with silver hardware. Usually smooth Celine bags have gold hardware, however I always prefer silver. The combo was gorgeous and I thought a nano would be the perfect day bag; easy, light, small but large enough. Simply put- I could not resist.

On the topic of small bags, I had been loving the way Alex aka HRH collection was styling her new Louis Vuitton Alma BB (check out her blog/youtube if you haven't). I had never been a fan of patent leather or bright colors but in small bag it can look so cute! So I showed my dear bf and said I think this will be my next bag, it looks like a fun evening bag. I had decided to get it in the beautiful red Pomme D'amour. Well... business was good and he surprised me with it one day! He opted for the limited edition pink one instead- Indien Rose. He said when he saw them both in store he thought this looked nicer. How adorable :)

I had gotten the matching cles a couple of weeks before after I sold my monogram one. I liked the bigger size and pop of color of this one better. I like to wear this a charm.

Here's a mod shot.

My vernis cles recently had an unfortunate accident. My glass perfume roller ball broke and exploded all over my purse. It got some black items wet and black color seeped into the vernis leather and stained it beyond repair or recognition. Ladies be extremely careful if you carry perfume!

....

On a more positive note, I saved the best for last. While I love all of my handbags, nothing compares to Chanel! She is and always has been my absolute favorite. I think I was around 7 when I started dreaming of one. In fact I strongly recall one family vacation where my father dared me to stick my hand into a crab hole on the beach and hold it there for 30 seconds. He told me if I did, he would buy me a Chanel bag. I was 9 and gullible. I guess he never thought I'd do it because he didn't keep his end of the deal, but a man should never under estimate what a girl will do for Chanel!

Well two days ago my boyfriend made that dream come true. I now have my ultimate holy grail bag :)
He has such a kind heart, and this bag is extra special because it marks the time of an exciting business venture we are beginning together.

She's perfect!

Black caviar jumbo with silver hardware. I always prefer silver, and I opted for caviar because of the durability.
I've noticed that the caviar can look different bag to bag. Some more matte, some shiny, some more grainy, some more grey. I wanted mine to look smooth and as intense black as possible. This one is perfect. I'm in awe.

Until next time,
xoxo V

Mac Haulin

My obsession for MAC has reappeared in the past month. I think it's because all of their limited edition collections have been right up my alley. Lots of nudes and peaches which is totally my thing.

I actually got invited to MAC's Temperature Rising collection release. We got to see the stuff a couple of weeks early, as well they also had a DJ, free cocktails and appetizers. It was a good time.

Here's what I picked up-

Ripe for Love blush, Altered Beige lipstick and Liquid Passion lipglass

Then I accidentally stumbled upon the Nudes and Metallics collection which is unfortunately only at PRO stores. This one was made for me as it was not only a collection of nude lipsticks but they were all in the amplified formula which is my all time fav. I picked up Nearly Nude and 2 of Wholesome which has turned out be like my all time favorite lipstick. Very glad I got 2 but I probably should've gotten 10 lol.

Then the All About Orange collection came out. I planned on getting all the blushes but Royal Sunset was the only one that showed up on my deeper skin tone. I also got Flamingo and Razzledazzler lipsticks which are both re-promotes and stunning! And I got my first MAC nail polish- Sweet Pop which has quickly became my favorite.

The Tropical Taboo collection was my most awaited. I love me some mineralize skin finishes. And so I picked up 2/3 of the ones from the collection.

I also picked up some permanent stuff during those trips.

Give me sun mineralize skinfinish natural- best bronzer I've tried
Love Joy mineralize blush- I read somewhere Jessica Alba uses this and of course had to go buy it...
Peach Blossom lipstick
Myth lipglass- my new favorite
Lingering brow pencil
Teddy eye kohl
Studio Finish concealer in nc20- this was actually given to me by my boyfriends sister because she hated it, but I've been loving it to clean up and shape my eyebrows
and then a couple of brushes- 219 which is amazing and 217 which I like but am still trying to discover why there's so much hype around it.

Take in the beauty...

I have some reveals to do since it's been so long, but until then I thought I'd share my most recent lust and the only thing still missing from my collection... Chanel!

Le Boy.... A more "me" version of the classic flap
